I went out both Saturday and Sunday and played around in my local sandbox. If it wasn't the snow, the greasy red clay was keeping me on my toes (or footpegs). The water crossing was deep, but doable, and the snow has been retreating up the hill. Today it rained a bit, but other than making my glasses fog it wasn't too bad.
I think a splintered sac area thread is not a good idea. I made this for the whole sac areas/ foothill to try and get all the riders in this are planning rides together.

If you do make one please let me know I can subscribe.

As a Rider from Citrus Heights/sac area, I always want to get up and out of here to twisty roads, or dirt roads, or ohv areas in the foothills/mountains. So, I'm going your way!
I'd say keep it together 'cause I wanna join in on trips to the high country.
Just gotta make way for the getting to these foothill starting points in time to join in with those that already live there.

Gotta say, I never head out for locations west of here.

Doohickey tools

Hey you all,

Does anyone know where a guy can borrow the tools for a doohickey? Looking to do a 08 klr in the next two weeks, Sierra colleges spring break. Six pack of your choice for the rental fee and I'll deliver it there on pickup. An extra sixer if you help or at least keep me and my brother from causing irreversible damage as its his only mode of transport.

Thanks in advance,

Obadiah

Ugh, I've been working way more than riding lately, but have got a few short (2-3 hours) rides in after work.
Dry squeaky clean roads for the most part.

Georgetown, last week.

Color line at the confluence, also last week

It's very short notice if I'm riding. I'll ring the bell here with a meet time (4:30-5?) and location.

Have a good ride tomorrow everyone!

I am going to try to catch up with Mark from SierraNevadaAdventures.com and go on his Amador Gold Country ride tomorrow. That is, if I can get out of my neighborhood. It's been snowing on and off most of the day (only about 2 inches or so) and it's still trying to snow now. Good day for the rain gear!

I found a great place to ride in north Natomas off Elkhorn. Not a lot of mud, but a big open area.

OK, good going...
Just don't hang out there to long!

Makes me remember when I used to cross elkhorn (errr..1982) and ride the fresh plowed field at full speed. But I got stuck crank deep in a sump right next to the road where cars could honk and people could laugh at me.
A guy stopped and helped me get it out of the thigh deep goop. He had slacks and dress shoes on and he wouldn't accept any money after saving the day.

I was greatful

BTW nice bike.

Hey Brien, just wondering how much poop the slip-on, re-jet and filter added to your bike. Daughter is finally ready for a few more ponies on her 2009. Gonna have to get some of you Sac guys up here for a change of scenery.

Any ADV rides this weekend?

There's another SierraNevadaAdventures.com ride the following weekend, but I know the weather is supposed to be good this coming weekend... and I am ready to ride for a change!
