I think it may have been StuInFH and James and myself.
We did a big loop - pretty much all single track.

We had done loop 6 in the morning with some VERY VERY slow Thumper Talk riders.

That burned most the morning on a short loop.

Us going up was the start to a much longer loop.

A lot of snow, logs and a good deep creek crossing to boot.

It was awesome!

Creek crossing - all smiles afterwards:

Snow:

And more snow:

Damn, you guys are having some serious fun!

My ankle would never let me do something like this, but if you guys are looking for some "slower", longer rides on road twisties, I would like to suggest my club, the Sac Road Cruisers on Meetup.

Long rides are in the 300+ plus range, like going over the mountains to Fort Bragg, usually a "fast" group of the Adv bikes, sport bikes and the 2 or 3 good Goldwing riders, and then a "slow group" for the cruisers.

ANyway, come out for a ride if you need a change of pace.

Sunday 11th ride, tough DS ride, "tough"

Looking for someone to ride with on Sunday the 11th.

This will be a difficult ride, fast paced ride, pack your lunch, minimal breaks. Look ahead and shred I say.
I'll be on a F800GS, but don't let the size fool you. I can keep up with Eldo on his 800 and Stu on his Trials bike.
I want to leave around 800-900 on Sunday, ride most of the day. Get ourselves into a whole bunch of trouble. Little tarmac, some fire roads, tough single track, Not for the faint of heart. I'll most likely end up launching the 800 into the side of a hill or something like that.
If you are interested email me or text me, I dont check this very often.

I might be healed up by then. My trials bike holds 3L of fuel, will that be enough for this ride or should I put the 4L number plate tank on to be safe?

I would love to go - but am riding Friday evening and Saturday only.

Sunday promised to my mom - she dealt with me for 18 years plus college.
I owe her at least 1 day.

Since Jerry has a knobby now - I will have to use my 650 instead.
I doubt I can hang with the 800.

ST Ride From Foresthill Saturday 5/10 8:30

Bring fuel and food for 100+ miles and most of day. Extra socks for after a creek crossing would be a good idea. Need plate.

I'm going to Elkins area.
Meeting a few people Friday night, camp and ride Friday night and Saturday.
My kid is coming - so not a crazy long ride - just a decent ride.

He is getting better - Give him time and he will be roosting in my face.

Well shucks, I didn't see the mlds post. Raley's Auburn 900am. Sunday. See, you're back to being my hero again.

Even though you called me a bozo, kinda offensive seeing my father who is passed was a clown by trade.

I put a piece of gorilla tape over the lower vents on my tec 8's. It works for a few seconds of immersion.
