Like the brochure says, the GS is well-tested.

So what you are saying is, just another typical ride.

We just rode that exact trail in the REVERSE direction on Sunday. Nice pictures!

The section on Rattlesnake you get wet the 2nd time was some seriously tight single track. I can't believe you went down that with Saddlebags!

Going up that loose rocky jeep trail is tough too! Going down it we had pucker moments!

It was SUPER tough on my 300 although the log wasn't even a blip! Thanks for the help!

Nice!

"For Sale- One lightly used BMW 800..."

now get a reasonable size bike and join us for some real singletrack fun instead of trenching the trails with that 800!

Jaun,

I only "trenched" the trail as you put it 1 time on 1 rocky hill climb. As a matter of fact, the guy I was with Saturday also "trenched" the same hill, he just happened to make it the first time. I am very soft on the throttle on that bike when on single track! I take pride in the fact that I can ride better than most people on my 800 than them on their 300's 2 strokes or 4 strokes! I have been on rides where no-one could ride and "trenched" every where they went, and they were on small bikes. When I do get a reasonably sized bike, I will join in with some of the faster paced riders like Joe and Adam! But thanks for your concern on the trail preservation.

Dual sport ride

Jaun,

Yes I have the ncwr ds on my calendar. Probably will still be on the trencher, but I'm doing my best to be there.

See you at the camp site.

King

Now it's been years since I've been on the Herkimer trail. How is it?

I've been all over that spot, Rattlesnake, Ant Trail, Fir Gap, Downie River, Empire Creek, Lavezzola, Grizzly Creek, Poker Flat, Sunshine, etc. But I've never completed Herkimer. Years ago I pooped out about 1/2 up before I turned around............................. so what's it like?

I've had folks tell me they've been DOWN Herkimer, but never UP it.

Help! :

Re: Rubicon June 29th.

Pasted from:
Supermoto the Rubicon trail

Looking into getting some fuel hauled up to the loon lake staging area.

I'm hauling my bike, and leaving my truck on the Tahoe side, then riding the 80 miles to loon lake. I'll drop two teeth on the CS sprocket when I get there.

Who is down for a June 29th trail ride?

Bummer, same day as Sacto PITS trials meet. It is a short ride so you might want to consider doing it up and back, from either end. I think it is fun to backtrack as the ups are downs and vice-versa.

Hey all, anyone looking to ride sat? Either single-track or dirt roads?
I'm on a DRZ400s. I'm up near georgetown but am willing to drive a bit of distance.
