Slowred pushing his bike out of the deepest of the water holes. This can't be good.

Bush Master runs across to help, only to get taken out by that big rock.

HTM crossing.

yzfcathy's bike dies just after crossing.

Slowred had submarined on the crossing and filled his boots with water.

We checked to make sure the exhaust was clear. Not a drop.

Fired right up!

Thumbs high! Happy times!

HTM had to get the last crash of the day award.

Lots of ups and downs!

Most excellent report . I see why HTM deferred to you.

Well, I am speechless (almost). If the time invested in creating that video (I know how long they take) is any indication of the fun you had on the ride...my job has been complete. That one really upped the stakes in the "Ride Report" expectations.

I can’t improve on NightStalker’s excellent report and photos, but I have a few extra pics to throw in. I hope I get all the IDs correct, if not, let me know. These are from Day 1.

Seabee1 getting ready to roll.

NDTransplant drops in before one of the many water crossings.

Bushmaster makes splashdown!

Nightstalker didn’t want to get wet yet, so stayed on top of the water. You’ll have to show me that trick sometime!

Seabee1 negotiating the rocks.

This was a really nice section (for viewing, not so much for riding!) I think that’s Bushmaster on a fishing expedition out there.

NDTransplant took the harder of the two exits from the stream, but made it through.

Refokus decided on an untested third option (with the help of my directions.)

After passing the second exit point, Refokus stops on a rock and peers down into the hole he’ll have to go through to get out. He made it, wasn’t so bad after all.

Nightstalker enjoys the cool water filling his boots

Shake, shake, shake

I think this was the last big hill before lunch. NDTransplant motors upward.

Everybody on top now

Time for some grub.

The hungry hoard descended on Oracle and ate everything in town.

After lunch, part of the group took the slab back to the staging area while the masochist group retraced our route for additional punishment. At this short but deep crossing, it was very hard to see the giant submerged rock that sent SlowRed for an unscheduled bath. Here YZFCathy checks for fish under the seat. That’s NightStalker to the right there, camera in hand. Uncanny how he can be at every crash scene!

NDTransplant squeezes between the two big rocks underwater.

After getting through the water, we had to climb a little shelf with wet tires. I think most everyone had a problem of some sort on this section. Here, Hoosier Trail Master rushes to the aid of an unnamed rider who is under the bike! Nightstalker and I bravely photographed the event from different angles. It looked bad at first, but he was ok and bounced back to get over the obstacle.

Reidy climbs up…

And over!

That’s it for my day one pics. I'll try to get my day 2 photos up in a day or two.

Thanks again to the Tucson crew, especially Hoosier Trailmaster, for being such good hosts!

After rushing off to work....

After having to rush off to work last weekend I am just catching up. Nightstalker, your RR and videos are too cool. Thanks everyone for the great pix. I got nothin' on my camera.

Did y'all see at the 8:55 point of this video that it looks like Brad planted his haed right into that rock? Ouch dude, good thing it missed your GoPro.
