Husqvarna Concept Baja

Roots Revisited by Husqvarna

Timeless style, bold innovation and dual-purpose capability come together in the Concept Baja trek-touring design.
Concept BajaDo it all, and do it in timeless style with the Concept Baja - where classic style meets modern innovation.

January 20, 2012 - New York, NY - The distinct retro flair of the golden age of motorcycling is one that only Husqvarna can genuinely embody. The Husky marque is the definitive emblem of an era, and one that continues to symbolize bold innovation, classic design and timeless passion. Husqvarna's distinctive 1970's vibe is revisited in the Concept Baja - where vintage meets technology, and legendary style is redefined.

Vintage allure isn't all this trek-touring design has to offer; performance is what makes the Concept Baja truly exceptional. Ideal for the casual rider as well as the committed enthusiast, The Baja will continue the trek well after the pavement ends.

That's actually pretty cool. A bit to concept-y at this point, but who knows what will change bringing it to the real world. Hopefully it will get a headlight that will actually work, and an instrument display that is readable.

Oh, and your chain is too tight, dude.

Another recycled BMW.

Put the 630 engine in it and they might have something.

So... no TE650?

Styling from the 70's engine from the 90's. Keeping that retro thing going.

LOL...yup.

Interesting. Neat idea/motif, but I see a lot of things that would make it very un-baja-able. That radiator is about as un-crashworthy as the muffler arrangement, as does the waterpump on the LH side. It looks so much like a dirtbike, that I would be afraid to ride it on the street without getting pulled over, etc.

I do like the LED array behind the number plate, though...and the brake light at the base of the back of the seat.

It reaks of BMW-tech overkill, but lacks a lot of practicality IMO - as is the theme with said overkill, usually.

It's probably gonna be ~$14k if they produce anything like it.

The 650 single motor is a strong runner.... until the water pump goes. Weight?
Range?
Bags?
