The course looks like it's actually very singletrack-y. Awesome! I am putting this on my to-do list. Certainly not for this year, but maybe next year...

Now I just need to find enough other idiots who want to do this to make a team.

Duo this year, maybe ironman next year, first I have to see how hot it is, the heat is going to be brutal for the ironmen. I just wanna have fun and finish in one piece.

i've considered doing this, but man 24 hours is a long time. i could do 4 man team and eek out 6 hours. i've done 4 hours straight race pace alone before (no stops), and have done 2 hours, 1 hour break, 3 hours.... i'm assuming you break it up however you want? 1.5-2 hours per rider i would assume to be optimal. bet that track gets beat to death. from the vids i've seen it looks pretty open, even the single track probably gets really wide after a few hours.. ironman would be brutal - at 9-11 mile loops if you're a b rider or lower, you're gonna get lapped so many times by aa riders i would think the number one problem would be severe monkey butt

That track hold up very well. Its really good dirt. As long as it doesn't rain. I really hate I'm going to miss it again this year.

Just 2 weeks away. I'm down 24lbs....doing 90+ lunges a day...gotta get the legs ready, it'd be nice to still be able to walk on Monday after the race....although I don't go back to work till the Friday following.

Putting the finishing touches on the lights this weekend, same set-up as last year...just cleaning up the wirring a bit.

just got back from perry mntn.- trails are awsome! lots of moisture still in the ground, fair bit of small mud puddles. seems to be a tad more single track this year, good flow and about 5 to 7 feet wide. no dust as of now, maybe we will get alittle rain next week to keep it that way. i spent about 4 hrs cutting face slappers, and will go back next saturday to help finish.so far this looks like the best conditions i've seen in the past few years.starting to get excited!
