son's first project truck

son has been working at the store doing the grunt work, and has saved up enough to purchase his first truck, and being the hillbillys we are he/we found this to build

he's super stoked, and we missed a "roller with a cab for $300.

but we've had several leads on others,

No blood on the seats, how about the head liner?

He should have fun with it. I bought my oldest a 1951 Chevy in a lot better condition, but ended up selling after not very much had been done in two years.

Will this cost more to fix up than it would cost to buy a functioning example?

Father and Son projects are fun but that's gonna be a lot of work if you keep that cab. At least parts are cheap for those S10's. Probably want to install a roll cage so he's not relying on that roof.

I think the K5 and the C/K10 on either side would probably have been cheaper projects.

the K5 and the K20 have both already been projects, the K20 is a 1980 that my grandpaw purchased NEW. the K10 was full on restore, hood, fenders, quarterpanells, engine trans, interror, now it just sits
