Damn, that is quite a project. My first project car was a 69 Chevelle SS with a big dent in the passenger door and fender. And it needed a full tune up and little stuff. At least I didn't need to R&R the ROOF! Good luck!

got a bit done to the bed today

corner pushed in and up



corner came unspot welded



this was a pain to get back into place



i did get the cab in the shop so toad can start scuffing the jams



pull pins in place



pulled out and ready for filler, only it was 100+ degree outside and the shop was just as hot, so i went home



damn pull pins kept pulling out leaving a hole, will be filled with some kittyhair

got it in primer lastnight,



bit of mud in the rear bed corners











the back of the bed was a bit of a mess, it probably will never be correct, seems it had been hit in the back of the cab below the rear glass, the cab was pushed in 1/2 of a inch and someone had used butyl tape and silicone to seal it, i pulled the back glass out with just my hands, it's a wonder it didn't fly out going down the road, but i got it pused back into place and some filler in.







some dents in the top edge, either by a forklift or when they botched the back glass repair

bed is in primer,blocked down and reprimed, looks ready, i think we'll jam the door, fender,hood,and cab tomorrow (sunday) then since i'm off on monday i'll paint the bed.






while i was out moving junk cars Peety found a ground hog ,dug it up and killed it



i needed a RH door ,fender, and a hood, plus many small things, I have a customer who has a garage and towed this abandoned '00 with a trashed 2.2l, owner didn't want to pay the tow so he said keep it,

$500 and it's ours

Depending on how this matter is settled and if I want to buy the truck back from the insurance company, I might be looking for a replacement to rebuild it.
