My DOGS 15 min.

UPDATE ! FILMING COMPLETE, SEE BELOW POST I'm happy to announce that "DIXIE", My Aussie, has been chosen for a small part in a national TV series, filmed here (Virginia) locally.
Seen on the INVESTAGATIVE DISCOVERY channel, this is the 3rd Dean's List Dog to "act" on the big screen. (I own The Dean's List Dog Training School)
Rascal, a now 16 yr. old. Rat Terrier, was in a commercial for a local dog food distributor several years ago. He played a dog who had to refuse food when placed in front of him(leave-it), then eat it on command (take-it!) when the "good stuff" was put in front of him.
Sasha, a now 14 yr. old Black lab had a small part in this same series as Dixie is now in. In it, she had to Lay, Stay, and then limp away, as her part was of a dog that had been shot by a passenger from car. Sadly, it was a re-make of a true story .
Dixie's big day is next week, I'll list the show's name, and a airing time/date (probably later this fall?) a little later.
WISH HIM LUCK !!

Dixie:

star at rest

The whole gang

Ah man, I had a black Lab named Shasa back once upon a time. That dog loved water. She would be about 35 now.

And to think, I've rubbed shoulder with a celeb.

Honestly,
Few people appreciate the time it takes to properly train a dog and it's great top have folks out their like yourself who save those who have gotten in over their heads.

Dixie kicked ass today, and made me darn proud!! No pics were allowed during filming, but without a few , it didn't happen!!-right?
Dixie awaits his turn

Chilling between takes. He is off leash for the entire filming, and while waiting too.

touching up the actors make-up just before she runs through the woods , long arm device follows with camera on end.

A little warming up before being asked to jump in a stranger's truck with cameras rolling
The actor had to get him to do this on her command.

The directors view. We had several takes of Dix's scene, and he nailed it every time! Thats my boy!

The actor, and dog "owner" for the show. This young lady was a quick study and followed my directions on how to handle the dog very well. She had to enter the scene riding with Dixie, get him out of silver car, walk him over to truck, have him hop in on command. From there, anothor actor, the boyfriend, proceded to drive away and then kill them both.....

just what we need , another spoiled actor !! Dixie relaxes' after working hard, and eating a lot of treats!
