Rokonin' in a winter wnderland.
My girl's dad owns Rokons for thoes who do not know them they are 2 wheel drive off road motorcycles. this summer he took me out for a ride in the woods and powerline trails and i had a blast. Yesterday we swung over to his place so she could cut her mom's hair and we could play on the toys i.e. snowmobiles. there really is not enough snow to use the sleds but that did not stop us from having some fun with them. after my GF and her sister went inside Kevin gets the grin and says "lets get out the Rokons." like i would say no.
so we push the projects out of the way and out they come. now these are mid 70's era bikes. with big puffy floaty tires 3 gears and a suciside shifter.. no clutch and the top speed is i thik 18 mhp. but that is fine for playing. we drag the two bikes outside ![]() Kevin (in the overalls) had to mess a bit with the carb and pull start on the orange one since it had not run in a few months but she started up with only a few pulls. (yes they are pull start) ![]() we rolled off down into the snow. this is only the second time i had riddne one and they are a bit differant than my Ducatis or my triumph sportbike. but wow they are fun i did not take many pics but i did have the go pro and will post some video after i get it edited to bite sized pieces ![]() yeah he gave me that sweatshirt for christmas. |

I absolutely love those things.
He didn't do too bad for his first time riding. The first time I rode it I went straight into a tree ![]() So much fun they are :) |
