I was falling asleep while writing this up. This was from yesterday's day ride to Death Valley.

It was a fun run. Just beat the holiday weekend masses.

Yamaha did a great job with a small bike and 155cc engine.

The BMW sidecar looks familiar from the Hacks section here. (bmwhacker)

Death Valley is a great place to ride. Only rode there once, over 25 years ago. I'd like to go back sometime. Love the looks of the blue Smax.

My wife and I did Death Valley on the 14th. Beautiful, warm Feb day.

Part of a 630 mile loop for the day.

I missed you folks by a couple of days. It is amazing out there and the blooms are about to happen. I keep sneaking out when I can to try and see them.

I took the family out to the China Ranch Date Farm yesterday. Stopped in Shoshone to grab some beverages. A lot of bikes were there including some old GS'es. One had the ADV sticker on the front.

Bad PA GS, I know I have seen that handle here on the forum. With the family in tow I just snapped a pic and got back to the mission.

SealSam has been trying to convince you to come out. Here is more enticement to get back to the west to explore. Time it right and you can have the place to yourself.

I am planning on heading out that way in June. It will be a little to hot for me to visit DV. The last time I was there in January and nearly froze my ass off.

Brian,

That's a nice shot of that little beauty.

Sure enjoyed your write up, it sounds like 'smacks' can handle a road trip pretty well. I'm trying to get the mighty SYM up your way, but nothing on the radar right now, I'll give you a shout out if it looks like it my happen tho.

You've got some great riding out in Vegas, has 'smacks' been out to Valley of Fire & North Shore Road yet??

Sam

I'm leaving North Carolina week after next for DV. Your photos make me want to leave about an hour from now!

Sam,

I have only ridden it to Hoover Dam, Red Rock, and down to Blue Diamond. Just commute miles outside of that.

As business is ramping up my time to ride is dwindling. Got lucky with this ride.

The bike does very well. Much better than I expected. Can't wait to mod it a little to gain a little smoother ride and maybe a little freer breathing of the mill.

Get out here before it gets too hot. You may be lucky enough to catch the blooms.
