You can use Adria rute or topo (a bit better but not much).
Was also looking for maps.
And found Adria Topo. Looks very detailed. With unpaved roads and height lines on it.
Please Francs explain: does CN Europe indeed have almost the same detail?

I do not remember where I found Adria Topo. The name in Map Source is: Adria TOPO 2.20
There also exists a map called AdriaTopolite. I do not know if that has other detail.
I found them free on internet. Do not know if it is legal.

About a paper map:
I was planning to buy one from Reise Know How; world mapping project (the blue covers).
Anyone known with these?
(I mean with the maps of the Balkan, their maps of some other countries are fine)

Hi Matje

I located a free working copy of Adria Topo 2.21 http://forum.mobilism.org/viewtopic.php?p=597386#597386

I also bought a map for the Balkans, Croatia and Slovenia (GeoCenter Euro Map), but's not detailed enough and covers too big an area.

Cheers

Harty

In Slovenija it's the same (almost). I still have the older version of CN which do not cover in details BiH and Montenegro ("experts" on slovenian moto forum said that the new version cover in detail everything except Albania).
It's easy to find and down load Adria (route or topo, I prefer route because hight lines are "annoying").
If it's legal

Transport to WYOA Balkans 2012

Hello, anyone want to share transport costs to the Balkans?
I am looking to share costs in a van rather than use my car and trailer.

Best wishes, Geoff in Leicestershire England - not IR. (Number 22, BMW GS Barbarossa edition).

All the way from Blackpool

Last time I did only 1000 km (2days) to the French Alps on my DRZ was 2005...
Sore arse that's what comes to mind... (not that the Xchallenge was a whole lot better on that part the years after that)

Now I only have to sit back and hand a drink or sandwich once in a while... (I'm not even allowed to drive big van + trailer)

Hey! I'll make the tunnel no problem - it's only 30 miles away.. it's the rest of the journey that might be tricky

As Danielle said, we will be catching the chunnel in the morning on Thursday 10th, arriving at the start Saturday 12th.
If anyone else is as daft as us two and fancies coming along for the ride get in touch!

Phil
