who else on the trip has a zumo 550? Having some issues loading a few of the days routes , it says the route is too long and i cant get the " slimming down" tips to work.

if anyone has reduced routes then please send me a PM - i have been messing around nearly all day trying to slim the routes down!

Is it too many waypoints? Have you tried splitting the days into two parts i.e. am and pm or something

mmm suppose the easiest isnt the most obvious been concentrating on all in 1 day routes,. its not way points but track points that it doesnt like.

ill delete a few points and make it am/pm as i think i need to delete about 200 points to make it a single day route!

Check how many trackpoints your GPS can handle, and filter the track accordingly.

Open the .gdb file in Mapsource, select the track, double click.

The track detail screen appears, here you can 'filter' the track to as many points as you like.
