Can't help but respond!

So I know I'm not there yet but I will be transferring back to FL this summer and all I can say is that I love Florida. I am actually a true "yankee" (from PA, not the midwest!) and proud of it! But I can say I have been stationed in Jacksonville, Yankeetown (crystal river area) and St. Pete and loved every minute of it! I also had to spend much of my time on my ships in south FL protecting the coasts so I am familiar with those portions too! Yes, I drive fast but that's what you do in the left hand lane! And maybe I am not from here but I love it just the same so..... Don't judge all of us Northerners based on one persons opinion. Some of us cherish the time we get to spend in Florida and can't wait to get back for another tour!!

I love NW FL. Moved here as a yankee xplant when I was 6. This fookin place is one of the last bastions of non-fetterance that I know of 'cept for maybe Wyoming or some other such unincumbered, cold, remote, pretty place.

My two lincolns.

Going to go off topic here but....

As a cyclist I have to say that :

1) Road sharing is the law and riding on side walks is illegal in many areas

2) I pay my taxes just as anyone else and I have the same rights to use the roads (on my bike) as any other conveyance. For someone to want to restrict my freedoms or enforce one more socialistic big government law like charging me to ride my bicycle just gets on my last good nerve.

3) I agree with a peloton blocking traffic but I am often forced to take a lane in order to keep the "I don't like to share the road with cyclists" asshats at bay. give them extra room and you are sure to get buzzed. Great thing about SFL's bad traffic is I usually get to deal with them at the next red light.

Rant over, Carry on making fun of Gearheadtrrrrroll.
