My challange, to build a bike this weekend...

Last night I was sitting around planning my weekend, but then the cold hard truth stuck me that I was wasting my time.

You see I have a problem, I'm lazy, and therefore I wasn't going to do anything I had planed.

So I had settled myself in to wast another weekend when a cunning plan to make me do something hit me.

You see, as well as being lazy, I'm also an attention whore, so if I got on here and claimed I was going to do something, then I'd give it my best crack.

Fuck it, I thought, I'm going to build a bike using shit I have laying around.

So that is the plan, Build a bike using shit I have laying around and as little money as possible on it.
But it must be ridable by the end of the weekend.

So I had a quick look for likely candidates, and when I was confronted with this site I decided to rethink the whole plan and just clean out the shed...

But I had a plan so I had better stick top it.
I made a quick scan of potential bikes to use as a start point, the DR? to easy, just need to replace a bolt in the clutch cam actuator thingy...

The KLX? I have to build that one properly and it would take to much time and money.

Battle scooter 2000? Nope.... Ummm becaise.... Get fucked...

But then I spied the perfect candidate laying forgotten in the back of the shed...

My old RZ350, my first ever registered bike...

Some dirt suspension and wheels, some body work and I could be on a winner...

That should keep me busy for the weekend.

So it was time to make a start, I dragged her over to the designated work area.

That could also do with a clean.

And with the aid of some ratchet straps, I put her into position to start fitting up the suspenders.

A few bits have come off so far but I was having a crap night and called it quits pretty early.

And that brings us to today.

And so far I have slept in, walked past her a few times, had two cups of coffee and tried to sort out a few unrelated dramas.

I'll keep this thread updated as major advances get done, or more likely when I need your help.

But I'm ready to get back into her, as soon as I shoot into town and get some suplies...

geez tREV its a long way from the sterile motogp pits but I think you may end up with a certfiable race bike if yu add all of them together!!
