NEW 1970... Guzzi, basket case

New to me anyway.

I have just bought a 1970 Amb. basket case. It is completely disassembled with most chrome pieces re-chromed, all nuts and bolts re cad plated, and most small painted parts powder coated. What I need is some web sites for parts and information and some owner group addresses. I know there are some Guzzi guys here so I figure this is a good place to start!

Let the fun begin!

The generators on them are not real flash. You can get a alternator conversion kit for them.

Not much to show for pictures about 5-6 boxes of parts a bare frame and three seats, one a rare solo Guzzi seat. But I'll see what I can do this week. Oh the guy that started it had the cyl's sleeved and the head's reworked.

My Guzzi basket case one year later

I recently finished rebuilding a '70 Moto Guzzi Ambassador. It too was a basket case when I got it. It was a long and at times never ending process. Stay with it and you'll be rewarded with one of the best looking, best sounding and best riding old bikes every made.
There's a lot of great Guzzi people and resources available. I can help steer you in the right direction with names and websites if you would like to email me.

Wow, is that a Sportster tank on there?
I don't think I've ever seen that before. Interesting.

Yep it's a king sportster. The Ambassador tank was rusted out, and i had that tank hanging around, so i thought to myself why not.

How about a profile shot mate?
It's a very cool look from this angle, like to see more of it.

I crashed my Varadero and landed on my phone that i take pics with. I would of been more than happy to post more pics for you. It looks the same from the side, but there is a gap from the front of the tank to the tripple trees, sort of like a 60s chopper when they moulded the frame {my frame is not molded}. The seat is from a steam tractor that i cut down {the steam guys want to kill me}
