In real life we'd partner up, or team up, with similarly minded people. We don't have that chance in WoT, but many of us are paying WG good money to 'play' this game the way we like to, so I wouldn't call XVM a 'cheat' as much as additional information to tell me what I'm dealing with.

Likewise with the reticle mod that just changes the available information around, and the map-aiming mod that at least lets you know what direction you're pointed on a map. WoT is sorely lacking in many areas, and whatever they do, it will be a balance between what they want to change and what this market - like Me for example - will bear. Many experienced players are even past the point where I am in the ownership of tier 10 tanks, so there is less incentive to pay WG money for upgrades. So what happens if they would consider all mods 'cheats' like you do, and then make the game maddening again? Would that serve them?

Would changing the handlebars on a MX bike be considered a 'cheat' for racing if they better fit a racer?

(As a side note, for well over a year afterwards mnay of us who left Eve Online were getting e-mails saying they were sorry for the business practices of the parent company, CCP, and begging us to come back. A year before that the game seemed like it was a run-away hit that would never cease... but CCP changed a few things, and also didn't change the correct things for their core of players. Most of us never did return to a game many thought they'd be playing into their golden years. It was that good until the changes that were made dumbed the game down for the common folk, and the changes that weren't made meant problems we were having were continuing while they tried to put more people into the same areas.)

I can live without a lot of the mods I run and do for a bit every time they do an update. The pointer is still pretty new to me so I don't pay much attention to it.
I will miss the zoom mod which I'm sure would be on the chopping block because it gives you quite a bit of an advantage. Scope shadow remover is another one I would miss. The other stuff I run is all UI so I think those would be safe.

Who knows it they will actually do it.

I am honestly feelin like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop. I mean all the teams cannot be as disorganized as we ran into the first two rounds.

Are these tournaments something that the Clans don't normally do, or send their D team to?

Never before have I regretted an Ace badge more than this battle:

The JagdT88 did not deserve that fate.

I don't know, but we were capping and I saw that he was going against an 8.8 and asked if he could get away. thinking he may be in trouble.
Not so...

He said ...Why?

Not what I would expect from a Chaffee driver-vs-8.8 in a face off.
More of a face to side off.

Before the 8.8 rape, that was an incredible restraint to not fire the gun as a scout that I just don't have.

Maybe I just learned something about how close they can get, but I'd have shot out of thinking they'd had seen me by that point.

The third battle was the only close one last night....first two were 5-0 wins. I'll send you the replays of how "you" played tonight when I get home. The guys we played tonight weren't disorganized at all. We were just more flexible in our strategy and able (thanks to Bodwick's superb scouting) to adjust and counter what they were doing.

Going in, the plan was just to distract and delay. By the time you asked, I had realized the T26 was ignoring me and I switched to kill mode.

Yay camo mechanics! I'll put up another replay in a bit. I'm in a T71 as a E75 rolls up to me. He hits the 50m auto-spot barrier and does a double-take before blowing me away.

That was actually the third round (and as I understand it, the first one we actually had to work a bit for). 32 teams left in the tourney.

Wasn't as I remembered it. Turns out I shot him at 71m. Derrr
