We picked up the wife's graduation present today.

A few farkles are on the way, but the most important one was these:

She had been riding a Ninja 650r for the last few years, and I promised her a White BMW upon graduation.

Did I get a fair deal or what?

I have been lurking around here for quite a few years, I've been riding my vintage enduros for years and have decided to expand my riding. After Kennyva and I did the Tn. section of the TAT on the vintage Yamahas we decided the old girls just weren't suited for striking out on the never ending trails and then having to hit the blacktop and head back to home or trailer at highway speeds for long distances on the vintage bikes. I have been waiting for the right deal to come along and have been looking mostly at the KLR. My buddy's other ride is a '10 Dakar and when I saw this on my local CL, it seemed to good to pass up. What do you all think? '11 with 12 months and 20k miles of remaining warranty. It's been regularly serviced and had the chain and sprockets replaced. It just had a new rear tire and new battery installed. It has the Happy Trails side racks with the Pelican waterproof cases. I paid $4975 which was what he owed on the bike. It was dirty as hell because it was a daily rider but, nothing a little elbow grease didn't fix...

Thanks man, I've only had it 5 days and already washed it twice. A couple more times and it might be clean.

Stop washing it and start riding it!
To me a dirty scratched bike is a happy bike and rider.

Probably nothing, but I didn't know if this was a prevailing issue anyone has come across.

Mine used to do this when the mileage was lower, but it hasn't done it in ages now (16k on the bike). Check the adjustment of the clutch cable -- perhaps it has stretched and broken in.

Will do. This thing only has about 4800 miles on it, so that may just be the case.

A few days ago I was riding in my GS to the south of my country. A trip for 10 days and over 2000 miles. I want to share some pictures of this "short way down."
