Around North America - Calling Atlanta area

Hey,

On my trip around the North America I am heading to Atlanta area next. Right now I am down south in FLA.

1) Any recommendations on the route to Atlanta?

2) I need 12000 miles service, recommendation on the dealer....OR is there anyone who knows R1150GS really well, is willing and capable to show me valve and throttle body adjustments live?

3) Atlanta area riders willing to meet for dinner....lunch or whatever....and maybe a ride. I should be in the area around tuesday fivish or so.

Jussi

Do you plan on riding interstates? If so, id say head up 75 North it will take you straight to atlanta. If you want some backroads, around the Ocala area you can take Hwy 441 this will take you all the way to North Georgia, but you can start headin' west once you get around Macon.

Both Atlanta dealerships are good. BMW Atlanta on Cobb Parkway (H'way 41) might be harder to get into on short notice.

Blue Moon on 752 W. Peachtree Street, Norcross, GA is where I've been getting service over the last 3 years, they too do a good job.

Bad week for me, unfortunately, two different out of town commitments.

A not too bad ride to Atlanta is to pick up 19 North of the Tampa area around Homosasa then stay on it all the way some old Florida towns and Rural Georgia towns too.

A huge thanks for all Atlanta region people. I am heading to Suchy tomorrow, back in ATL friday night. I plan to got to check out the Dust to Glory...anyone else going?

For those who know...my bike is better than ever now. Long story short...for some reason the driveshaft was never all the way in the gearbox axle, so I had a mess. That's why it started to leak gearoil. Read more from http://www.touring-life.com/ebic/

All I can say is BMW of Atlanta guys rule :) :) :) Now I know how a GS should feel like...damn it is different...
