It was a fairly nice '70. Long since gone. If they only made ambition and motivation in a can I may have done something with it.

I made an insert for the center of my FD axle so I could use my axle puller to pull the cracked wheel flanges off my GS.

kinda a simple make...a little welding, some measuring, grinding, and done. after installing the fog lights, i noticed the brackets they came with really sucked. so i made beefer ones.

shelf for radar detector and stuff mount to aeroflow windshield ...
I have not riddne since i mounted this.... weather has not cooperated much latley

Easiest and best thing I ever made for the GS...

Thread this stainless steel pin into the hub and hang your rear wheel on it while you insert and tighten the other rear wheel bolts. It hangs the wheel in place and makes wheel / tire changes a breeze....

Best of all, it takes about 4 minutes to make one.

whats the thread and pitch so I can make one up?

I forget - been awhile. Either a 1.25 or 1.50 pitch.
I'll go check....

edit: it's a 1.50 pitch on my '04 GS1150

i did the same thing except i cut a slot across the "head" so you can use a screwdriver to turn it out..
I carry one in the tire repair kit

I knurled the end as it was easier and I'm a lazy bastid.
Made about 10 of them for friends, tool kit, etc.
