The large fit's me, so I'm thinking the Med will work for you. I'll throw it in the truck when I head that way. Hopefully we can meet up for a handoff. No skis for me on the 10th, I'll be at the wedding. Soon though Bro. You've got me wanting another one

Side note- these are low bouyancy, NON-USCG approved but I was never called out on it. If you get a savvy FWC guy he may recognize the vest as such though. I had enough hydro-turf on mine to float several prople though

Yer daily dose of Chuckleheadery:

And on a somewhat related note, last week I took Wifey Cakes to Sluggo's, Pensacola's sorta-famous vegetarian restaurant. Now don't get me wrong, I'm a carnivore among carnivores, but this food was absolutely fit to eat--as in, I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything as I enjoyed my meal. And as much as fried tofu wrapped in seaweed doesn't sound very appetizing, it really was. And cheese grits par excellence. And at prices that won't break a KLR rider's heart or budget. Plus they have Dogfish Head 90-Minute IPA on tap

Four thumbs up--we'll be going back

You mean you'd eat that over KLRfish?

I'll take Sluggo's fried tofu over tilefish any day, and that's the triple truth, Ruth!

Not to mention the fact that the tofu was cheaper

Yabbut as it turned out, I wasn't really that hungry

Sometimes ya don't make that discovery until halfway into a vegetarian MRE burrito

I found some pictures of my old standup ski. This is probably about 1998. The ski was painted Yellow by the previous owner to match the '96 and up Sea Doos but he didn't finish. I got it in boxes and assembled it. The only mod I ever made to it was an extended ride plate (powdercoated hot pink of course) that helped a ton in rough water. It was completely flat which made it a bit slippery so I drilled a bunch of holes in the back to get it to hook better when turning.

I kept the Jet Ski in the back of my truck all Summer on a wooden ladder and just backed the truck into the water to launch and retrieve it. I would go downtown and ride on the Mississippi river after work and jump the huge swells that the upstream tugs would make. I have no idea what the totally radical looking sticker on the front says.

Our old camping rig; '92 Ford F-150, '84 Kawasaki Jet ski 440, '78 Honda Z-50, '62 Glaspar Marathon. I am standing in the boat to take this picture. Tent, clothes and such are in the black boxes. We used the 5 gallons of water for washing dishes and hands mostly.

This was our usual weekly spot on Panther creek on the Alabama side of Pickwick lake. No restrooms, electricity or water and the road in has a couple of deep water crossings. The only amenity the place had was a paved boat ramp so it was usually pretty peaceful.

Rita is cooking either bacon or socks. After breakfast we would usually take the boat over to JP Coleman state park in Mississippi to use their restrooms, then to the Tennessee boat ramp to buy beer and ice. It was a slow boat so that took pretty much all morning.

Our old Kelty Streamside. We considered it a major purchase at the time. I still used it until last year.
