Powderhorn Harescramble on Grand Mesa, my first western race - brutal 6 mile track of moon dust hiding razor volcanic rock in gambel oak with a morning sun to add misleading shadows to the difficulty..
About 2-3 miles in I'm wondering if my rejetting was off because the bike is feeling way sluggish and weird - I stop and put in a fresh plug in the woods just to see if that'll help. No dice, but I notice everytime I go thru the pit/spectator area all eyes are on me. Weird.
Turns out I rode most of the race on a flat rear!

Still didn't do too bad all things considered
If you would of had a Flat Front, you probably got first.

Look at these dudes, come on. The chick is a little bow legged, but that could work.

Funny stuff.

Many officials across multiple states do agree on one thing; criminals that wear saggy pants and try to run from a crime scene often trip and fall, getting themselves caught.

Good for you. Didn't recognize you with beard. Looks like you are enjoying the adventure.

We've been hearing a lot of stories about Gators in our neck of the woods. Just where is this picture taken? Wouldn't want to accidentally bump into MAMA GATOR!

They've got an alligator warning sign at Hurricane Lake, but I don't recall seeing any signs at Karick, Krul, or Bear...I'd prolly be a bit paranoid swimming in any of those lakes, tho.

And some Chuckleheadery for y'all this AM: the owner of this vehicle had to be a KLRista. Definitely got his money's worth outta the rotor and pads.

How long ya reckon those brakes were squealin like a pig?
