Very cool. Thank you for posting those pics. I'll get some washers like EdOriginal said and angle that plate.

No problem.
The angle of the boxes is something I've never considered, looked at or noticed. Did some digging, and I actually have a picture that shows it pretty well.

Is there a special for ADVRider at the moment? Looking for Tiger 800 panniers - not sure yet which ones though.

Go with the Jesses. They are the best in the world, by far. They are the ultimate. They look the best on Tiger 800's. Anything else will be a waste of your money. Nothing compares. That's why they don't even need a functioning website, or advertising, with huge logos all over their bags. They are like Strider Knives.

That is the dilemma. I neither "need" the strength, nor the looks, nor the space of them. I'm not very happy with their shape as it makes the use of a single liner per case a pain in the rear. And realistically, I don't need side cases very often.
So I'm asking myself do I spend $1300 on Jesse cases or $600 on Givi racks and Pelicans mounted to them? I know that there is no quality comparison between the two. That's where I'm coming from and what I'm trying to evaluate.

Lid racks?
Are these lid racks still available? Don't see them on the website but a friend wants to get a set.

Looks pretty nice!
One question to all the owners: why is it that Jesse cases so often look like they are sagging / hanging down? Is the rack missing a cross brace?

On the Tiger, there is no cross brace. Not sure about that on the other installations. I bought these bags because they are one, american made, and two, the racks look pretty good when the bags are off of the bike. I don't always have the bags on and some systems just look downright crappy with the bags off. The added storage room for the basically the same $$ over the touratechs was an added bonus too.
Negatives.. No instructions. At all. No big deal but really?? Maybe I am an idiot but they advertise that you can bring the right side mount in tighter with an aftermarket exhaust, which was another reason I leaned towards this setup but I can't figure out how to get it to do that with the Leo exhaust. The top bag came with a fancy spin on lock that is nice but it did not work at all with their mounting plate. I had to take the grinder to the plate to get it to work. A little black paint and you can't really tell but I was pretty disappointed by that. I have already bent the rivited tab on the top bag where the latch catches. Not sure how as I thought I have been careful every time I close them but who knows. Would I buy them again? Possibly but I don't know. It is a stout system but I want to check out the TT system my bud bought for his GS800 on our trip and compare the two. |

Instructions are usually downloadable on their site. Maybe they haven't posted them yet for the Triumph?
