What bags do you recommend for a 2013 f800gs? I will be using it for traveling and some single track. I have BMW adventure panniers now and I'm not at all satisfied with them. Was gonna buy touratech zegas till I went to rawhyde. Looked at a lot of the trainers bikes and asked a bunch of questions. I like your product but not sure which ones to buy. Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to offer. Jade

Hey Jesse, any plans for a black Friday sale, or possible holiday season sale in the works?

Thanks!

Jesse,

I am buying a Tiger 800 XC in March. I am liking your bags. Just a couple questions. What is the price for bare aluminum and if J&K orders bags, maybe combine the order for reduced shipping for us? I haven't talked to him or Brendon, but maybe ship to The Motorcycle Shop. If everything is in one box, costs a little less to ship.

It's that time of year again - the holidays are almost upon us!

Jesse Luggage Systems will have an extended holiday closure this year, due
to the timing of the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We will be closed
Friday, December 20th through Sunday,January 5th to allow our employees to spend time
with friends and families, and to allow for year-end activity.

It’s important to plan ahead this year! There will be changes in 2014,
including some pricing changes. We would like to offer a holiday special
to our old and new customers alike. Place your order for a set of Odyssey
II luggage by December 19th before we go on holiday and get a QRDP,
retailed at $245.00, absolutely free!

You can use the QRDP to mount a top box or any other accessory on the back
of your bike. The QRDP can be used as a base for any accessory and take
advantage of the quick release function. Or, just use it as an accessory
rack. It is a nice addition to your luggage set.
(fine print: QRDP requires a rear compartment ($245) to work on the R1200 water cooled. Other bikes, no problem.)

Happy Holidays from the crew at Jesse Luggage.

Man, every time I see new posts in this thread, I get all excited, thinking "Is today the day Jesse has R1200R cases?"

Sadly, the answer is no, every time.

KTM 1190 bags and mounts will start to ship next week! Order Ody II system before the 19th, and get a free QRDP to go with your bags.

The 10" Ody II system is 39" wide in stock configuration. There is a built in adjustment in the mount system tho. If you put a smaller diameter silencer on, you can remove spacers in the mounts, to bring the bags in another 1 1/2" bringing it down to 37 1/2" inches wide. If you sprung for the Safari 9" bags, that would lose another 2", down to 35 1/2" wide. But no freebies with the Safari orders.

And again, apologies to SFHooligan.

qrdp quick release install

Hi guys,

Thanks for letting me take advantage of your Holiday special. I am excited to have my new Odyssey II's on my 06 f650gs.. Now I can carry lots more crap.

I have a question about the QRDP install on my bike. After installing the brackets and the bottom plate I noticed that the bottom plate has a flex in it causing it to not accept the top plate. there are two other plates that came in the box and I assumed that they are for other configurations?? But now I am wondering if one of them is to stiffen up the brackets in order to stop this flex. Any help would be great. And if you can point me to an instructions pdf that would be great as well.

Thanks for a great deal and a great product.

Jason

PS here is the bracket that I wondered if I need to use??

Liner for Jesse Bags?

I had them on my BMW R1150GS and loved them. Greatest saddle bags I have ever had on any bike in 30+ years. I am saving up this winter for Jesse bags for my new Yamaha Super Tenere. FYI - this is a much better ADV/sport touring bike than the POS GS.

Anyhow - people were talking about a pannier liner option. Well, I found a cheap alternative by accident. I have gotten in the habit of using those recyclable grocery bags for all that misc stuff that does not fit in your overnight bag when loading up the car for weekend trips. So, when I was gearing up for a big bike trip, I had a bunch of loose items that need to go from the house to the garage so I put them in a couple of those long handled fabric grocery bags. The first trip I off loaded the misc stuff into my Jesse panniers and left the grocery bags in my garage. The next trip I just drooped one bag into each side (with a little rearranging for efficient travel). They worked great! And when I reached my destination, I grabbed the handles and pulled out the whole thing. They are very adaptable to space available and cheap to replace if something tears.
