If I'm wearing tight leather motorcycle pants, my "gun" is pretty visible, thank you.

My understanding is that the BMW jeans are made of Cordura. I have a pair, I went over the handle bars and landed on my hands and knees at about 40kph, not fast I know but there is no visible damage to the knees on the pants and the knee padding did it's job and stayed in place despite not being strapped on - as a previous poster suggested it should be.

More to the point of the armour - in the BMW jeans the knee armour is quite large and is made to mould to your knee shape. I find they are rigid when I put the pants on but when my body heats up the foam they start to mould to my knee which makes them more comfortable. Their size and shape means they are probably less likely to move. When these pants wear out I will buy another pair of them. I bought these ones in 2009. My only gripe - they fade really quickly and I liked the nice denim colour.

If they haven't been mentioned before I'd like to now, BMW City Pants. They have padding in the knees and the hips. Price about $300 or less. About the same as topflight jeans. They come in blue and grey- black maybe too.
Other than that Dragon jeans are great, comfortable and nice to wear- good if you go down the road.

Great thread, as I'm looking for a pair of kevlar jeans and trying to gather opinions. I do like the motolegion jeans, especially with the hip and knee armor. Anybody own a pair or have a picture? Thanks to all that contributed and I'll update as soon as I get a pair.

So just pull on a pair of assless chaps over them and you're good to go...

maybe it is a 205... but i was to lazy to read all 7 pages...

For City- and GoToWork-trips i use this Denim: http://www.louis.de/_3086e8179347f71...208730&lang=en

It works very well and looks much more "normal" than the "real" non-leather gear....

Anybody know of a store near or in southern Wisconsin that carries Dragging Jeans? I want to get a pair and I'd like to try them on.

Does anyone have any strong feelings on Alpinestars Logic Kevlar Denim Pants?

I used a pair of Rev'it Cayenne Pro pants through North, Central, and South America and while I'm happy with them....I want to lighten my load a bit.

I'm thinking two sets of the Alpinestar kevlar pants and a pair of Klim tactical shorts and knee armor (either underneath the pants or over top). I gain a pair of jeans to wear around, loose part of the power ranger outfit, and don't sacrifice anything in the way of protection.
