GS's in Central VA Sat

Just curious if these folks are out here on the board.

Two loaded 1150GS's on the parkway just south of Waynesboro, heading north about 6 pm. 2nd was a yellow. We were southbound 2-up on a white 1100GS.

Sunday morning, red 1100GS with silver Jesse's at the Lovingston Cafe in Lovingston VA. We were having breakfast outside, didn't get a chance to stop and talk.

Wondering if these were locals or just heading through.

That was me. I thought you were probably eating outside, you must've slipped past me when you left.

Nice bike you've got there!

Ditto on your bike

Actually, both. That SV is a nice bike.

Is that a touratech tank you have?

Are you local up there? WIfe and I were heading from some land we have in Amherst COunty back to house in Hampton. Three days of great weather and got some nice riding in.

Well, just read your byline, you're in Charlottesville. Duh. Sorry I didn't stop buy and say hello. Error in judgement on my part.

The SV is my buddy's bike, and he likes to ride year-round, so it's fitted with hand guards, heated grips, etc. He likes it a lot.

Yep, the tank on my GS is the monster Touratech tank, it looks like you're about to straddle a huge beach ball when you go to sit on the bike.

I'm just south of Charlottesville (3 miles south of I-64) and you're welcome any time. Let me know the next time you're coming up if you'd like to meet up for some riding ... or some breakfast!
