I wish someone would buy my R100RS so I could have a DRZ-400 to ride around Woodland .

any chance one of you locals could post a picture of how things look after the snow? Just wondering how a weekend long winter storm advisory looks in WP?

Didn't even think about them having a facebook page I lived in Woodland Park for about 10 years and still have a sis-in-law living up at Divide. It's fun to see what kind of traffic they are dealing with from time to time

Well, I finally made it and then promptly left for three weeks to camp/fish/see family, in CA and MT. I am still recovering from a broken leg out in RI a few weeks back, so by the time I get back to CO in a couple of weeks I am hoping to get some riding in before the end of the season. Looking forward to riding with some folks.

I highly recommend renting in the Woodland Park area for a year or two before purchasing a home. This will give you the chance to familiarize yourself with the area and be better informed when you do pull the trigger. Don't get me wrong, you will love the area. Just some parts are better than others.
Good luck!...and thanks for your service to our country. Being a Marine, you certainly did not take the easy route :^)

Dude, you forgot to mention top-notch cycle shop opening soon in town!

I scanned quickly through the other posts, but it needs to be emphasized that the weather here is awful, the traffic atrocious, the people are all jerks (especially the off-road community) and the schools suck. No one should move here.

What kind of internet speeds are you guys in Teller getting? I'm having a hard time finding anything better that 1.5 except for right in the heart of WP.

I have not set up TV or Internet yet... given that I left for most of August. I know the guy I bought my house from was a from home IT guy and he had dedicated Internet from Peak Internet.. I am not sure what route I am going to go.

I already bought a house.. I needed to pull the trigger in a kind of expedient way last year... I am out 67 near Woodland Park Community Church... seems like a nice neighborhood... hopefully I didnt buy right in the middle of Crips Woodland Park territory

New cycle shop opening in WP?

welcome!

I live in Divide, love it here. I have to use DSL but happy to have something for internet. If you want to look for elk and don't mind being seen with the Loser I could take you to my favorite elk spotting areas.

Not connected to this in anyway and really know nothing about the costs or speeds, but I have a neighbor that works for this company that provides satellite internet services.

We had DSL at our house (on the west side of WP), but with me, my wife, and the kids all using it at the same time, it was sometimes too slow, so we switched to Baja Broadband and can now watch multiple movies (Netflix) while others surf the internet with no problem.
