drewha, you know it! After dinner we can wander over to South PVD and search for the DRZ. Still no news

al, I so want to create a mathematical formula for your post...let's hope the stars align and you can make it.

To the missing Rho'Dylandahs ... come on down! I know y'all wanna hear me bitchin' all night about the loss my sweet, sweet Elsa (as well as the recovery of the Buddy scootah).

Ahhh, tasty.

I think Mr10x should activate his Marines, 200 strong I think, and invade So.Prov. on a search and destroy mission to find Elsa. We could call it " Black and Pink Hawk Down " We leave no BBDR ride behind. " F@%&in Irene"

MrsTM and I plan on heading down (up?) to PVD tomorrow evening. Probably ride in 2-up in the V-Strom.

here's my old sprocket carrier bearings when I removed them *The actual hub bearings seem ok still*:

The conglomerate in the middle is the outer spacer, inner spacer, mid spacer, and the inner races of two bearings; all fused together. The balls of the ball bearings are scattered in the garage but everything else is there... I was able to lift that center part out with no tools once the axle was removed!

I got the new parts today and installed them this evening although I didn't order the"outer spacer" seen on the left side of the conglomerate so I had to extricate that and re-use it, no easy task.. When I got it loose it was all thin, bruised and beat up. It looked like it was freed from a concentration camp rather than a fancy BMW sprocket carrier.. I smoothed it out and it should work ok for the time being, it's a spacer/seal surface so it's not critical in the short term.

So I'm planning to ride up tomorrow but midway through this process I started on a 6 pack of Harpoon IPA.. My enthusiasm for riding may be somewhat diminished at 8am tomorrow. We shall see..

Normally we'd be all over this but tonight is our niece's last night with us (here for the summer) before heading back to Beantown.

Next time for sure.

Hey folks, back in RI .. well for a few days.. I depart again next Tuesday for 10 days. I am wiped out from my redeye flight back from San Fran last night.. I know I shouldnt be riding, and I probably just need to pass out, hard to keep my eyes open even now. So I doubt I will be present... I am looking to do some riding this weekend.. to be discussed in other threads

MrsTM and I had a great time, nice to see everyone again. And special thanks to jgormley for getting the ball rolling!

The early arrivals (+1 random sportbike at the end) in the ever-expanding parking spot.

Everyone except alcontrast who arrived minutes later.

We are looking forward to next time!

nice to catch up with you all. I have a feeling I'll see a lot of you Sunday at Somers or Saturday at Drews house.. we shall see...

also... there's a CT burger run planned for Thursday Sept 6th in Wallingford at the Old Dublin; a little cross thread promotion there... LiLolita, I noticed the following post from Oilhead this evening. I know you like the ciders but that would be a long ride on a scoot...

Magner's Irish Hard Cider on tap! Not many places can say that. Good wings, Irish Dip sandwich and Guiness Stew, too.

Perhaps a Camp-N-Burgers is in order.
