Based on prior post looking for confirmation.
Where is the lunch spot, an alternative was mentioned. I am driving in so it if moves would be nice to know.

thanks mike for clearing that up. thought it was 7am which means i have to leave the house by 4. an extra hour of sleep will make a big difference.

will bail out at 3 pm or whenever we cross hw8, which ever comes first.

edit: lunch stop (descanso) is not too far from hw8, think i could join you guys; from there, i could ride back to sd to meet my vajayjay...hahaha.

Be good to see you again Joel. I'm guessing she didn't go for my SPA ideal? Well, I tried.

Yeah, I'm a bit confused on the route now. Everything I saw showed us having lunch at Wynola Pizza and then riding Wynola Rd. to Farmers Rd. to 79 to camp.

Wynola Rd isn't even on the DualSportMaps.com route nor is lunch at Wynola Pizza. So where the hell are we going? And where is the lunch in Descanso going to be?

Just to clarify - the original route had us eating in Wynola - we are NOT eating lunch in Wynola.

We are having lunch in Descanso. There is Descanso Station (restaurant) or if that is too busy you can eat at the Mexican place that sometimes also has BBQ on weekends just up the street at the corner of Viejas Grade next door to the gas station.

Meet at gas station and Starbucks @ St Andrews and Otay Mesa Rd at 8AM and kickstands up at 8:30
Otay Mesa Rd to Otay Mtn TT (dirt)
Highway 94 and Japutul Valley Rd.
Lunch in Descanso
Boulder Creek Rd (dirt) to Engineers Rd
Hwy 79 to Pine Valley
Pine Creek to Sunrise Hwy to camp (2 routes - moderate/rocky dirt or easy paved)

Day 2
Sunrise Hwy to Banner Grade to S2
Hwy 79 to Warner Springs
Cooper Cienega TT to Anza (dirt)
371 to Palomar Divide on 79
or
***Optional Palomar Divide TT*** (easy to moderate dirt some slightly rocky areas)
79 to The Hideout (cold beverage and sometimes cute girls...)
Mesa Grande to Black Canyon
Black Canyon to Ramona (dirt)
Ending at Cheers in Ramona (cold beverage and sometimes cute girls...)

There is a store near camp but don't know what time it closes.
Ahhhhhhh, so this is now the route. Maybe Blake can update the first post in this thread and whoever does the stuff on SoCalDualSport (Strega?) can update it there too.

So where in Descanso are we having lunch?

If I remember right from the first get together you seemed to be the one (you and Danscape) that seemed to know more than you should about how things work at balboa park.
