Heads up: Laguna was full, so we moved to Burnt Rancheria, sites 9,10,12, and 14.

Thanks for the ride this morning y'all! And for not teasing me about bringing half a bike

What a great bunch of people! For the next one I definitely got to make the whole thing. Probably won't be until spring, huh? Someone needs to put together a "San Diego desert-country Adventure ride" for the cooler months...

Until the next one...

fog and drizzle, felt like we were in the bay area, but still a good day. thanks blake and company for organizing this ride.

made it back to my truck safely and to the resort.

good to see the sd riders - familiar and fresh faces; lunch at descanso was great. sorry i have to bail out afterwards, have official duties here in city of sd....

right now it's pouring here in mission valley. no problem for you folks wearing those expensive klim goretex outfit and sleeping in the $400 tent.

hope to see sunshine tomorrow.

Yeah, I thought it might rain all day and with bald street tires, was having doubts...
But it cleared up nice.

It was great to finally meet everyone and ride a new area. Next time I will have knobbies , I was pushing the front and spinning. That one area hard pack with lots of turns where I was flying / drifting behind Arty and Jeremy was AWESOME!
I would like to do that again.

Foggy FUN

It started out a bit wet and drizzly, but the weather was no match for my whale foreskin riding suit! We all met, where else, Starbucks!

Obligatory picture of Joel taking a picture:

It was a bit wet out there:

And then it was time for lunch in Descanso.

Then back on the dirt:

We kept running into this guy in a truck who wanted to offer us candy and teddy bears....

We got the hell out of there fast:

Despite our plans to loose CA Stu by telling him we'd be at one campground, and then heading for Burnt Rancheria instead, eventually everyone got together for some of Shunka's amazing home brewed Scotch Ale and Barley Wine.

Nice capri pants DSM8:

The line of the night, courtesy of CA Stu: "She looked like a duck, but what a vagina!!"

Apparently, flashes around a campfire can be . . . disturbing!

Anyways, after spending a night re-learning that a 60 degree bag can not be made warmer, Devin and I headed back home through the rain (it's in those clouds ahead, trust me).

Great time and a great route! Thanks Arny and Blake for organizing this and getting the campground and thank you again Shunka for the awesome homw brew!!
