Any one hitting the WABDR down from the canadian border down to hood river? My schedule is pretty open and I was thinking of riding that down the week prior. Maybe if I could join this pow wow in hood river too if that's ok?

Aw, too bad. I'm still looking for anyone riding from SLC. Planning on leaving the Tuesday before the rally to take an interesting route.

I'll PM you all with directions/address a couple of weeks before.
(let me know if I got syntax wrong on your screen names, so PMs will be easy for me)

I think this large group (and more!) will be manageable enough, I know my route well,
and will have tried & true actual GPS (GPX/Garmin) tracks.
I think we'll likely split into 5 or so groups, with a leader for each,
...to keep the caravan (bikavan?) moving more efficiently.

We'll get to the KTM Rally Thursday Evening when Registration starts.
I have a VERY close-by forest dispersed campspot picked out,
...so we can get back there early-ish Friday morning

Oh yeah.....

WetFest is the weekend before, and several of us plan to leave from Wenatchee on Sunday.
We'll take portions of the WABDR down to Hood River,
then get to my place early Tuesday evening for a relaxing BBQ and a campfire.
...Then We'll leave Wednesday morning for the dirty two-day trip to Bend

Throwing on a new set of tires and final packing this weekend

Can't wait to hit the road

Soup bone and I are meeting Tuesday in Ontario, CA around 10:00-10:30. Our plan is to slab it up to San Francisco. Tentative route is 10 to 210 to 134 to 101 up to salinas cut over to hwy 1 to Santa Cruz. Spend the night there. Get up early and take hwy 1 up to San Francisco be at Suderia before they leave. If anyone wants to join up with us send me a pm.

I am probably riding down after wet fest from lake wenatchee. On a blue 990 so if you see me yell!

I can't make it but pre-registered a looong time ago. I wonder if there's a way for someone else to take my spot? I'm not worried about the $$ I wrote it off long ago, if someone can figure out if/how PM me. Pay it forward!

WetFest will be at the edge of Wenatchee (the town, not the lake),
Wenatchee is pretty much in the CENTER of Washington.

I'll be leaving there Sunday about noon, to head down South on the parts of the WABDR., camping Sunday and Monday nights on the trail.
Will be back at my place Tuesday afternoon.

Tuesday Night (Sept 11th) Backyard Tent Camping/BBQ/campfire on my 5 acres near Hood River,
and the Wed & Thur "Edge of Wilderness DIRT RIDE", and Forest "nowhere" tent camping Wed & Thur nights.
We are camping stealth, no showers, no frills, and no $, except for gas/food/booze.

We'll also be riding portions of the NW famous original 1854 "Barlow Road"
and Central Oregon's "Santiam Wagon Road" from the 1860's

(google them, if you don't know)
