Guatemala to Alaska and Back

Tonight I invited my hosts and friends , Panamerikaner and Enrique for tacos and beers . I wanted to show them my apreciation for all they have done to make my stay in Puebla so much more enjoyable . We had delicious tacos , cold beers (Enrique had almost a gallon of Horchata) and great conversation , like we had known us for ever . When I finally asked for the bill , there was no way those two guys would let me have it . I just hope that some daythey will come to my home and let me treat them the same way .

One more advice guys, stay away from horchata and stick to beer ! Just look at Enriques face

Guanajuato YES, San Miguel ...I don't know yet . I will come to Guanajuato after the Pope and Semana Santa are gone .

So far , so good ! Last time I checked , there was no wheat in the fish so no problems with the diet

It’s official and done : My wife finally got her Canadian visa and will join me next week in Mexico City !
I’m sure from there on , my already amazing journey will improve significantly !!!

excellent! I'm enjoying your report but as I always travel by two con mi novio (Eddie98), there's always something just a little more special to the couples ride reports.

Well, I finally run out of excuses for not leaving Puebla . I really enjoyed my stay there, I had great food , I even picked up some recepes and I made new friends ...what more could a man ask for
So this morning I took of towards Queretaro , perfect riding wether : Blue sky and cool temperatures . On my way out of Puebla I still got a great and last view of the Mujer Dormida and the Popocatepetl , before taking a right to the Arco del Norte .

Arrived here in Queretaro a couple of hours ago , walked around the Centro Historico and liked it so far . Really relaxing atmosphere with lots of pedestrian areas with many nice looking restaurants

With the coming into Alberta. I would suggest that you come up through Kalispell Montana, across the Road to the Sun Pass and take the Chief Mountain Border Crossing into Canada. Then up through PIncher Creek, taking the Cowboy Trail up the east side of the Rockies and it comes out west of Calgary on # 1 Hwy. Then west to Banff & up through the Columbia Icefield to Jasper. If you look at a map it will give you an idea of what I'm talking about. A very scenic route and keeps you off the 4 lanes.

The Road to the Sun is only open 2 or 3 months of the year and in 2011 it didn't open until July 17. I know because my wife and I made a trip into Montana & Idaho from Lethbridge Alberta, where we live. There is an alternate route that goes around this pass. If you are in this part of the world the pass is definitely worth riding once.
