I'm telling you, if you use the evaporative cooling vest it will help. Even while you're walking around. Construction workers use them as well and yes, it may feel a little slimy but that's just that gel that they use to help keep the vest wet and not dry so quickly.

Have you been following my route or something Ed suggested? Now that you're at Zion, from here through southern Utah and on into Colorado you guys are going to get a sensory overload. FUN FUN FUN stuff.

Happy to see you guys moving along. The heat should subside once the sun goes down. If you guys make it up to Cedar Breaks tomorrow you'll get nice weather up there. HUGE difference from where you're at right now.

Yup... heating up!

Looks like your trip is really gearing up along with the heat...

I shared your posts and pics with George last night. I liked the striking shot of you at Horseshoe Bend; often thought to find out where where that was. George was especially taken with your wonderful pictures inside Antelope Canyon.

94 degrees here at 5,500 ft. today... It's starting to look like Arizona in Bisbee again.

Page to Grand Canyon

We left Page in the morning ,after getting all our camping gear packed and loaded on the bike . Pretty soon the temperature started rising and it got very hot . But the scenery was so great that it was actually possible to ignore the heat .

We made our first stop at the Navajo Bridge

Under the bridge we got to see a family of Californian Condor … unfortunately they were too lazy to fly

The red sandstone formation everywhere are just so beautifull ,over and over again…

Some of them reminded me of the Valley of the Monks in Creel, Chihuahua

We even made it all the way down to the Colorado river , but down there it was HOT, even for Luisa Fernanda

And then finally we were there…It is always a very powerfull feeling for me,to arrive at a place that I have been dreaming about for so many years , a place that I knew from books, TV reports, stories told by friends, RR,…and now I was there….Ahhhuuuuuuuuuaaaaaa

Thumb Grand Canyon, North Rim

We arrived at the Grand Canyon around noon and we got lucky at the campground : It was full but somebody had just made a cancelation so we got a spot to put up our tent .

After that I was over anxious to get to see the Canyon finally ; so we went still with all our gear on for a ride out to the scenic drive . The first view was breathtaking , hard to describe …

We just kept on going from viewpoint to viewpoint , enjoying the view and the feeling that we had inside ; we were like little kids playing and fooling around, not doing anything else then enjoying ourself and living the moment….

Luisa Fernanda and I, we talked a long time about the differences between the Grand Canyon and Copper Canyon or about the different way we felt both canyons ,the different impact they had on both of us …
Comparing two so impressive and unique places might even sound disrespect full in some way , but having seen both in such a short period of time makes it almost impossible not to do so. Having seen one before the other also takes impartiality away, but surprisingly at the end we both kept our different opinion . IMO a lot of the different impact of the 2 canyons is caused by the so different colors, one hard and cool and the other one soft and warm…One was almost like a private show, the other one was a public event , one was free, the other one was much regulated. They have so many differences but at the end of the day the determinating issue is what they have in common :They are both outstanding and incredibly impressive and amazing places and I am very lucky to have had the chance to see both of them and I would not want to miss either one of them

Here still a few more pictures from the North Rim
