I have heard so much about Alaska but never imagined it to be so incredible. WOW... eat lots of fish.
Things here have been fine, besides an assassination in front of the office a couple of weeks back all pretty normal Weather has been great, I think its an early canicula, but looks like its finally coming to an end. Enjoy yourselves and keep on truckin

Portage Glacier and Whittier

The day before yesterday we went for a ride to Portage Glacier and Whittier ; the weather was perfect and so was the ride . We stopped on the way down there along the river , at the foot of the glacier, we took tons of pictures , we went through the tunnel, we had a nice lunch in Whittier, we walked around the docks , we watched the fishermen , boats coming in and out… what a day! Or just an other day in Alaska

What a blessing to get to enjoy all this ! LIFE IS GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hola Julio, Luisa,

George just dropped by and we caught him up on some of the new photos you've posted in Alaska. -Fresh crisp air!

Glad the trip is still going strong! Safe Journeys!

It has been great hosting Julio and Luisa. They went off to hike the Russian River Falls today, armed of course.

Between Julio's cooking and my room mates' cooking I wont be able to get on a bike again.

Russian River

The hike to the Russian River Falls was pretty nice, great scenery and trail but no bears ; they are probably waiting for the upcoming Silver Salmon run

Looks like you may still be on the Kenai Peninsula. If you need any help on your way down to Homer. Don't hesitate to look me up. Enjoy the rest of your trip and keep the pics coming. I love seeing pics of others who have enjoyed this great land.

Hope

On our way back rom the Russian River we took a detour and we went to the small town of Hope, a small community that was build in the late 1800 in the time of the big goldrush.
The views on the road getting there are stunnishing

Even the fishermen in Hope seem to be different , much more relaxed then in other places, more kids…

So, when are you guys thinking you will be in Valdez? Margie and I will be riding that direction on the 18 of this month, rain or shine, no matter what the weather man says...he could be wrong.
