I have the email and am looking into your needs during your visit. Also how do you feel about an island beach picnic dinner? Weather permitting of course...

Valdez

Today we made it to Valdez, nice ride with almost no rain.
Bit cloudy, so we didn't get to see all the mountains and glaciers, but what we saw was beautiful.
Around Valdez we saw a lot of salmon, pink mostly and finally , after having seen so many bears, we finally saw one fishing. He sure moved fast and got a lot of salmon, was great to see it

Glad to hear you made it! Did you see the boat accident today? Apparently a boat fell on a guy in a parking lot....

So that's what happened, we were having lunch and saw firefighters and police cars driving into this boat parking lot.
The halibut was too good to get up and look what happened over there

What's this sign all about!?

Some great pics Julio, the mountains there look amazing, how the lush green carries on beyond the glacier line is really unique. That plane trip looked really, really fantastic, you struck lucky there....you are meeting so many good hosts - and to them bravo! - I can't think of how one might ever repay such kindness! You might have to have a few more smelly feet in your house one day yet!

Keep riding, stretch that budget....

Hope you are both well adn send my bestest HHHHUUUGGG to Louisa

I knew you would notice that; I had never seen that before.

And yes, it will be difficult to repay all the goodness that we are receiving on this journey ....

The day we left Valdez the weather was great and on our way out we got a chance to enjoy its impressive beauty.
We went to Tok where we stayed again at Vanessa's Thompson campground ; we love this place, always other riders there to talk with, and the sauna at night is just awesome

The next morning we left early for Haines , a long ride (720 km)
We got quiet a bit of rain and cold temperatures on the road, but by the time we got to Haines it stopped raining, we got our ferry tickets for the next day and then some nice halibut

We are looking forward to the ferry ride down to Juneau and then on to Prince Rupert

Thumb Haines - Juneau

Yesterdays ferry ride from Haines to Juneau was great : Nice weather, great views and we even saw some whales .
At our arrival in Juneau, fellow ADV rider AKtraveler ,Greg, and his buddy Phil were waiting for us at the dock .
They showed us around,Greg had a great picnic prepared at a fantastic spot , then more sightseeing . We did over a 100 km in a place with almost no roads
Not enough with that, he took us to his house for a couple of beers before we went out on his boat to find some whales.
And we did find them !!!! They were swimming and jumping all around us for over an hour, it was unbelievable !!!!!!
What an experience !!!!!!!!
After that we still got an outstanding salmon dinner at Gregs and Joans home
Greg and Joan , thank you both so much for having us in your home and for making this short visit to Juneau unforgettable !!!

Pics will follow as soon as I get internet access.Tonight we will take he ferry down to Prince Rupert

Sorry we couldn't hook up for our trip to Valdez. Margie and I head there on Saturday. Maybe someday we will meet up again. Please know, it was a great joy for us to meet you and your wife! Maybe some day we will meet up on the road or at a school nearby... Ride safe!

Hyder

After a great ride on the ferry from Juneau to Prince Rupert we arrived today at Hyder. We rode up to the Salmon glacier and in the evening we went to watch a bear fishing in the creek. The sun was shining all day long...life is good
