Glad to c that you all are seeing the world. Wow, hope you got some of those trout. Things here much the same. Rain is back everything choked up with traffic and derrumbes, otherwise fine. Pedros wife is in chemo and will be doing treatments for 6 mo. Pedro is confident all will be ok. Keep the pic coming, they are a great pleasure to c.

Keep on truckin

I know it's a long way back..... but if you choose to go Quintana Roo/Belize/Guatemala before reaching home let me know. A few days in Playa del Carmen after the glaciers and before heading home will do you good.

Juneau # 2

After a long afternoon touring all over Juneau, Greg took us to his house where we met his lovely wife Joan. After a cold beer, we got ready to get out on his boat to look for whales.

Luisa got all dressed up for the upcoming adventure

Captain Greg knew exactly where to go to

The sun started getting low and the view was spectacular

It didn't take long before we spotted the first whales

And then we got even closer to them and they started jumping out of the water like crazy, it was at least a dozen of them swimming, jumping and bridging not more then 300 feets away from our boat

Over the last few month we got to see a lot of impressive wildlife, but what we saw here just let us speechless...

And the whales just didin't stop

A late dinner was still waiting for us , so we had to turn around and go back

Greg, thank you so much for taking the time to take us out to see this incredible show

Ferry Juneau-Prince Rupert

After almost 2 incredible days in Juneau, it was time for us to ketch the ferry to Prince Rupert, BC

We were the only bike on the ferry

The ferry ride was nice and relaxing and the views were great. There was a microwave oven on board so we could prepare our own food, even if it was basic but all the time better then the boatfood…and cheaper
The first sunset

And the sunrise the next morning was even better

Always something to see along the way

And this was our master bedroom , fresh air and an unbeatable view

Hyder

The ferry arrived really early (4 am) at Prince Rupert, but McDonalds was open ; so we got a lousy breakfast but good wifi before we left for Hyder . Beautiful ride. By the time we got to Hyder , Luisa went to sleep and I took the gravel road up to the Salmon Glacier . What an amazing ride and pretty impressive to get the see a glacier from above whitout being on a plane

Wicked Hyder

Later on in the evening, we road a few km to a creek, where we should be able to observe the bears while they are fishing. And so it was , we didn’t wait more then 15 minutes before the first bear appeared out of the woods, ready to get his dinner . He mast have been a gourmet, because from most of the fishes he got, he took only one bite and then he throw it away and he went for the next one
