Sounds like a great ride! thanks for the update. I spent two weeks car camping in AK a few years ago and made my way as far as Fairbanks. Pretty nice in June but I bet its frosty in October! |

![]() I am going from Maryland to Oregon via Route 50, but at the end of March. Hopefully there won't be any late snow storms or I will have to drop down to the south.

Its always possible... I got snowed on in New Mexico and it was damn cold going over the pass in and around Lake Tahoe on US 50. Keep an eye on the weather, WeatherUnderground was most useful in plotting a course around the worst of it as I found it both exceptionally accurate and extremely helpful in accurately predicting where the weather was going to be.
