I would guess that the team that submitted the protest withdrew it when they won. They didn't need to protest it at that point.

It was the FIM who made the complaint, or so I believe.

Does anyone else find it convenient the protest popped up shortly after his hired gun driver and (sorry) teammate Nasser Al-Attiyah quit in the middle of the race?

I gained respect for Gordon, and lost all I had for Al-Attiyah.

The one you shouldn't respect is sven quandt, not Al-Attiyah...

Didnt give up, he didnt have another belt and was forced to retire. Subtle but notable difference

I was stoked to see him do well in the Hummer and it was a shame he didnt get along with RG and couldnt of finished the race. The dude is FAST
