Which mounting brackets for the fairing are recommended ?
I'll be using two 60's.
I see you can get them without the mounting holes drilled.
I'm sure with some fabrication these will fit on the 690.

The fairing will mount on a 690 using the fender pins for the lower and fork brackets with straps (ernge) for the upper mount.

Very similar mounting to my SE

In!

Going to order this to fit on a gen 1 KLR going through a little build-up Pretty excited!

Edit: Quick question: I'm going to order two fork bracket kits. Can I return one if I end up not using it? Thanks.

Talking

Received fairing kit today with two 60's and dimmer. Plug and play is right. Great product, great service. Installed in just 20 minutes. Wind is smooth and felt good to me. Need more testing but stoked right now. Will take some time to adjust low beam to right height but pretty close out of the box.

Thanks!

Yes you can return the fork bracket if you end up not needing it.

If you haven't decided on a front fender, the KTM ones are quite reasobbly priced (~$25). That way you can use the stock ktm pins on the fender for the lower mount. This will limit the adjustment of height.

Installed! (on 1st gen klr)

Got this baby mounted as part of a build. Took her for a ride in her native habitat. Rode some pavement too, to check out high speed. At 75 mph, nice clean, smooth air, much less turbulence than what I had. Super bright light (untested on road as of now). Total win-win.
