Trying to get a front axle out of a F7 Hub
I have a donor bike and running bike and Both axles don't budge. I have hit them with PB blaster but...
Anything wierd about these wheels for disassembly? |

Maybe I'm being too obvious and I apoligize if I am, but the axle doesn't just slide out after you've taken the wheel off the forks. One of the "ends" is actually a nut. Unscrew it, and then the axle itself, that has another "end" as a head, slides out. The actual axle that goes through the bearings is maybe 12MM or thereabouts...the "ends" where it clamps in the forks is larger...maybe 15 or 16MM. Those are very approximate numbers, but maybe it gives some reference. Hope this helps.

Thanks Lynn! I did not know that-didn't want to break it. My Clymer's doesn't show this setup. I'm taking a 21" wheel off one and installing to another. I wantred to pick the best brake shoes to do so.
