Hells Canyon cabin fever ride

We were getting tired of the endless north idaho winter in cda, so we watched the internets for better weather nearby.Lewiston had the best forecast for the next couple days, so the decision is made. We haul our bikes to the canyon. Lewiston Id is the sump of the state, it is the lowest point. The Snake river flows out of Hells Canyon, absorbs the Clearwater river, and it all drains into the communist state of Washington at Lewiston. It is also a magnificent valley that enjoys mild weather and lots of sunshine..

So here we go! A quick jaunt up the Snake river canyon form Asotin WA. The day couldnt be any nicer for Feb.18..
BTW we we using the "lightweight" bikes today! does this still count??

The road goes on and on

Had to stop at the bridge, almost a new bridge.

'Q is leading the way!

The views are nice!

Back to town on the levy

Packed up and headed up Hwy 12 up the Clearwater

Gettin snowy and cold up the lochsa, found this cool footbridge.

Across the Lochsa...

Hiked up along warm spring creek for a bit..

Jerry Johnson Hot Springs were nice too!
