Shimano 3 piece carbon outfit

I carried a 3 piece carbon Shimano and Shimano something baitcaster when I did my Cape York ride.

The rod was very small and fitted under the fuel bladder and on top of my camp chair - so small you can't really see it

But it did catch a Barra though

Nice Queenie. On a popper? The red and white one in the photo to the left rear of the bike? Had a school of those cutting up bait fish right underneath me once at Mandorah wharf but didn't have a single popper lure to entice them. They really can move quickly. Would put up a great fight, I'd imagine. Can you eat them?

Nice one Bigcod

I was berthed at a wharf that looked just like that one in Darwin many years ago. Is that the one that the Navy ties up on when they are doing exercises with the Yanks? That would mean that there is a sort of memorial / museum tunnel, bunker sort of thing behind you!
(Now that i look, there should be a bit more of a hill / cliff at the LHS of the wharf where it meets land.

Nice job anyway.

Cheers,
Ranger Rob

Fishin and Bikin= Bishing

This is a different wharf Rob, theres no berthing here.

Shimano Tcurve offshore spin762 does the trick in the saltwater, handles all Queenis, G.T'S and small Mackeral.

Shimano Raider Travel inshore spin703 Handles all the freshwater stuff with Shimano Symetre 4000 reel. Barra love a big gold boomer during the run off!!!

Both fit on the bike no worries and will cover most fishing trips. If I'm doing a big trip I will just carry the 1 small rod and a couple of lures to minimise weight.

Just bought myself a Pflueger 5 pice combo, not a lot of cash for it, and the action seems nice for a multi-piece road, just need an opportunity to try it out now.......

I suspect some weekends away MotoFishing/Camping are in my future.

Then there's my upcoming holiday to Tasmania, where I would like to murder a few Trout!
