BTW, 2-300 yards down the road is no problem at all for the 3600 lumen version. I got into this obsession with lights riding at night in the NE area, not very interested in hitting moose or deer, and I found these to work the best to expand my vision field both out to the sides and down the road. I've never hit a speed at which I feel like I'm outrunning my headlights anymore.
I agree that there would be more than enough light at that range with those lights. But, in my opinion, and maybe it is just the way I see the world, if the lights are hitting the roadside reflectors (and even the surface of the road directly in front of the bike, which I have found is the way I have to aim these powerful LEDs to avoid dazzling vehicles a half mile away) then I cannot see down the road. The nearby reflections effectively kill my night vision. I find I am so sensitive to this that I put white tape over my blue high beam indicator lamp and find I can see better at night. I turn down my truck's instrument lights all the way and on long trips I even throw my wallet or a ball cap over the part of the gauges I don't need to see. You see what I am faced with? This is why I want spots...to put the light only where it is needed, with just enough spillover to light the ditches so I can see the deer just late enough to not be able to avoid them if they decide to jump in front anyway.
There are 10 degree LEDs out there, and some that claim to be spot pattern, but none that I have found that are anything like 3600 lumens! Unless you count big led light bars. Not something I want or could afford to put on a bike.

Any progress on the dimmer w/ bright bypass?

After my dark ride down "The Dragon", I am desperately looking for some Aux Lighting!

Hi AC,

yes, we've got a setup I think a lot of people will like.

If you've ever looked at or bought an HID light kit, they come with harnesses and waterproof connectors. I've got something similar worked up, but just need to nail down the enclosure for the switch.

As some of you know, its necessary to dim these lights with a PWM controller. There are some options for these on the market, but they're not made for motorcycles or the elements.

For those of you that want panel mounted dimmers, I can get some to you already. If you need a controller in a waterproof housing, that's on the horizon!

PM me for more details on the panel mounted option!

Pictures coming soon

Got your PM. Yep, little riding this weekend, of course.

Your package will be on the way by tomorrow morning.

Still a few sets left.

Also, plenty of stock on the 3600 lumen lights here: www.TeslaLEDs.com

Hi Mwood,

As to the fogging on the lens, sometimes all that needs is a wiping off and reseating the o-rings when you screw it back together.

The moisture will not harm the LEDs or circuits.

The radio is something new to...mind clarifying if you mean CB or standard FM? I would think a ferrite ring from Radio Shack might help, but I can check with a radio source friend if it doesn't work.

Hi MWood,

My suggestion would be the following:

Get 2 of these:

They're ferrite beads, which fight EMI/RF interference.
Wrap up a small length of the LED power wires (3-4) times, and snap the ferrite beads on as close to the lights as possible.

That should do a lot to reduce the interference. If at all possible, see if you can route the wires and switch away from the radio

Can be had at your local Radioshack: http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...uctId=3012599#

Got a great deal on the 2k lights a few weeks ago and had them installed by the best Wrench in NYC. I try to avoid riding at night, but last weekend they saved me from two nighttime deer strikes, and they gave me the ability to track down a remote campsite in the mountains after sundown. Thanks, George.

Nice setup!

My pleasure to provide a product that works, and lets us ride safer.

I'm basically all sold out of the 2000 lumen lights, but we still have plenty of stock in the 3600's
