Yup, I figured it out. It was something in my programmer's setting, bike runs great now and has since I adjusted it that morning in the Yukon. I had to move the #5 setting to 6.5 I believe to stop the random misfiring/power loss.
I did have another issue that arose from riding in temperatures as cold as I experienced in the Yukon and Alaska, as both nights fell below 0 degrees F. My fork seals froze, and allowed dirt to get lodged under the seals on both forks causing leaks. Easily fixed with a quick swipe of some 35mm film under the seals. So far, I LOVE ALASKA and I LOVE my job! Hardest thing I've had to get used to living up here is waking up each morning knowing I'm doing exactly what I want to do just about every day.

Great trip report
Thanks for the entertaining trip report can't wait to read about D2D. Going to ride up that way in late July. Could use some bits of info. Like good side trips out of Dawson. Camp in Dawson or hotel it?

I camped at Gold Rush in Dawson proper, but there's a decent amount of places to stay in town if you prefer to be indoors. The loop out through the gold fields that D2D used for the poker run was pretty spectacular. PM me if you want any other ideas or to just bounce off where you're thinking about going.

A year ago today, I rolled off the ferry in Haines, Alaska and rode my motorcycle, with everything I own and needed strapped to the back, through a blizzard north on my way to Fairbanks. I've come so much further than even the miles suggest in that time that I still have to pinch myself from time to time to make sure I'm not still dreaming and my life is really this much different and better. What a difference a year makes...
Follow your dreams, its the only way they have a chance to come true. I've been up to Deadhorse... ![]() ...and forgot my Sour Toe in Dawson. ![]() Its been a long, cold, beautiful winter, full of magic fire filled skies ![]() fun on the ice ![]() Fun with ice ![]() and magic and fun and love at home ![]() ...break up (Spring) is almost here... which means its time to ride. And while the characters may change... ![]() the plot will remain the same! I'm as happy as a sled dog thinking about going riding again! ![]() happy happy happy! Volume 3, coming soon(?), lets light this popsicle!
