Yeah, he can be an unreliable prick sometimes.

The bike looks pretty much the same as it did it post 112, except for the inclusion of a muffler (which is why we didn`t show the left side) and pannier racks.

Ray had to modify the front of the muffler to accept the exhaust pipe which took a few days as he needed to source some stainless steel, he also made a neat bracket to support/attach the muffler to the sub frame.

I'm on days off from Wednesday, so will be heading over there to check things out; it should be very close to going in for rego.

I`ll be getting heaps of pics when the bike is finished, showcasing all the neat stuff that is on the bike.

Due to overwhelming demand.......

......here are the latest pics of my new bike.

Re-done front of muffler to fit exhaust pipe.

Neat muffler support bracket.

Another neat bracket to support exhaust pipe and pannier rack.

Ray is re-doing the dash layout as the left indicator light is hidden by the cables. The speedo and ignition key will be moved to the bottom, one indicator light will be deleted and the five remaining idiot lights will be run along the top.

Rego and single seat compliance will be done this coming Saturday.

Ray mentioned that today and is happy to paint it black; I'm OK with it, it's the red spring that I will change ASAP.

Hi David, I have been following this while drooling all over the computer, very nice bike indeed mate.

The silliest thing I ever did was sell my "Ray Peake" GSPD, one day I'll have another and make sure it has a "Ray" make over

Cheers

Geoff.

Can't wait until I get it on the road and start running it in. Luckily there are heaps of hilly roads both here and in northern NSW where I can do the job properly.

Go back to post #112 for wider shots. Next week (hopefully) when I pick the bike up I will be taking lots of piccies.

I start my work stint on Saturday and with Christmas/Boxing day coming up, it means I can`t get the bike registered until at least next Thursday.

Trials and tribulations

Dragged my trailer about 250 Km today in an attempt to register the bike. Everything was going swimmingly until Queensland Transport claimed that the VIN wasn't on their database and therefore the frame didn't exist as far as they were concerned. I will have to jump through hoops (but not until new year) to get things fixed.

In the meantime, here are a couple of pics of wiring behind the Britannia Composites fairing........Scary stuff.

Which have to go to Ray Peake for doing such a great job, and for taking the time with all the fiddly bits and specially made brackets that really set the bike off.
