So how many days did you take Dave? Are we thinking 7 or 8? Nice pace and still time in the evening for some enjoyment of spirits and other natural goodies. Officialy, I have asked for 8/27-8/31. I plan to play hooky on friday (thursday too if need be) the 24th and with labor day on the 3rd that makes a total of 11 days sans responsibility. Nice easy pace, plenty of time to stop and take in the scenery.
There are some cabins for rent near granite that might be a nice break to get a shower. heres a link if anyones interested. http://www.fs.fed.us/r6/recreation/r...go-gulch.shtml
any thoughts on when to leave lakeview? I was thinking of using your play book and riding down friday and saturday, meet up in lakeview saturday afternoon then head out sunday morning.

So group order on flowers. A collection should be taken to smooth the ruffled feathers od loved ones. If enough is collected, we can send a bundle each day we are gone.

Shall I ply Shelly with alcohol at the Ladies' ride and work on your behalf? Section 5 is way to much fun to be missed, even if you've done it before. We were just discussing our 2010 ride Wednesday night at our C.O. meet-up. Washington BDR is on the calendar for us this year. We're doing it the last week of August, too, so we'll be with you in spirit. Woohoo!

You've got to detour up to Table Rock if you didn't last summer. The ride up is really fun and the view is not to be missed. Plus you can get some really cool pics of the bikes right on the edge.HiiiiYa!

Yes yes Ernie. You are most defiantly invited man. I'll pm you some details. Went for an amazing ride in the suisla nano forest today with mark. Dam we had an amazing day. Snow to sun to tree moving, you Eugene guys nailed it for where to go. What a blast.

I need to sign up for this one officially! We rode well together and riding full tilt on an XR650R chasing KW on the 525 was hoot! S1marks hung right w/ us! This could be very interesting! Full moon on the 31st also!

i sent you a PM W/ my info! I have scheduled the time off that you mentioned. I'm able to leave August 24/25 and end on Sept. 4th! Looking forward to doing the OBDR again, this go around with some time to spare, last time we tried to do it all way to quick,5-7 days. Not doable even though we rode like hell from 8:00am to 10:00pm most days! Ouch!

A nicer relaxed schedule with fast riding in between breaks sounds awesome!

Hello all, I'd love to tag along if that is ok! I've met a few of you out on the trails as well as in the bars. I was pretty well MIA last summer so I don't blame you for not remembering me :)

I've been dreaming about making this trip but solo is not my thing and a group of good folks to do the trip is for sure the way to go. I'll be sporting a TE 610 with a 5 gallon tank. Not sure what I can add to the group but I'm more then happy to help a fellow out when in need, bump elbows on the double tracks, and bring another bottle of whisky to the fire.

Sounds like you have the right gear for the job. So far there are a few us in for sure and some still waiting for permission from there sweeties. One of the guys is now riding a single speed so were waiting to see if he can sort it out it time.
My thought is that we leave from pine springs Sunday morning in groups of two or three, sorted out by riding styles and meeting up in the evenings for wiskey, er storie time. I plan on using the trek now routes and will share them on request (not here though)
folks should be able to navigate the trail on there own. August is going to bring dust so we could be spread out for miles and waiting for the next guy at the turn will get old fast.
Asriver, TJ, and a few more have done this before so I am going to defer to there advice for camping, fuel stops ect.

We should get together for some light

riding to sort it out. I'm sure there will be opportunities soon.
