When I was coming home from Alaska I met 2 guys on 800 GS's. They had a blank sticker map of the US, with individual state stickers (on their panniers) to fill in where you have been. Does anyone know where I can find this? I tried google and only came up with ones made for kids in school. I searched our forum with no luck. Thanks

i would go to a sign maker, or the kiosk in the mall that does vinyl stickers for front vanity plates. they could probably make, to any size scale, a base blank u.s. shape, and then do another, laser cutting out the individual states.

I have seen maps/stickers like you're talking about for sale at RV places like Camping World before.

The challenge is to find one small enough to fit on a pannier. The RV ones seem to be 20" wide. Awhile back someone did a custom run for the folks on the chain gang (f650.com), but I don't think he ever made another batch.

Another option
Try one of the child activity books...
http://www.amazon.com/dp/0486296709/...9&linkCode=asn or http://www.christianbook.com/Christi...&item_no=96709 I didn't check the sizes though. |

^ "Hours of fun", huh?
![]() If they're paper stickers, they'll last about a week. Those books say "reusable", kinda worries me they're not gonna stick real well. "Map measures approx. 18.5" x 12"."

If you have a color laser printer or access to one just make your own. Download an outline map of the US, and in whatever graphics program you like, color in the states you want and size it to fit your needs. Then print it out on this paper:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001ARFEXU ![]() Been on my bike for a month or two and shows no sign of problems. A pressure washer might take it off but it seems like it's backing is good as any other sticker glue.
