Awesome pics guys! Loving seeing them from all over the world - Sorry have been busy and unable to update lately
In July I contacted BMW of North America to find out how many 75th's were sold in the U. S., but got the usual corporate runaround: "Dear Joseph, Thank you for contacting BMW Motorrad USA regarding the production figures for our vehicles. We appreciate your interest and enthusiasm. It is BMW's policy not to release sales, production, and import figures for BMW models. I apologize if this causes any inconvenience. We trust you will understand our position on this matter. The BMW Motorrad Customer Relations and Services Department is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Eastern Time. You can reach us at 1-800-831-1117. Regards, BMW Motorrad USA" No surprise ![]() Anyway, I dug out my "Collector's Kit" and snapped some shots for the record. The previous owner didn't treat it well, so mine's a little beat up but here it is: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The kit includes a certificate to be filled out by the owner, a key and fob, 75 Years pin and an album with historical photos of BMW bikes with several pages for your own photos, all in a display box. Rock on bros!

I was told by the previous owner it was a "special edition" but it isn't silver/yellow, and apparently isn't an anniversary edition. Maybe it's a "taint" edition, as in "taint neither one". Whatever it is, I like it.

There was one for sale on here a year or so ago that was the red/white 99 SE, and up to that point I'd thought only the 98 was red and white Ya did good

Few months ago I start looking for a bike here in Brazil since I'm working here for a while (couple years maybe).
I found this 1998 75th Anniversary Edition in very mint conditions, with only 23.000 kilometers (Less then 15K miles) and then start bothering the owner to sell. He sold it to me last October and I'm very happy with it. Had to change the Hall Sensor that cost me a trip to Ushuaia last December, but now I know that is a common issue on this year model. I bought a new Hall Sensor that is not carrying the problem, so I guess now I have a bike that I may keep for long time. I called then only BMW dealer here in Sao Paulo and was told (not confirmed) that only 8 of this model were sold here back in 1998 and 1999. So I"m the luck owner of one!!! It also was our wedding carriage... :) ![]() ![]()

Price Range for a '98 R1100GS SE?
Looking to buy one of the Special Editions with low mileage, under 25K. What's a good price range assuming that the bike is in good shape and has been well maintained?

I think that all depends where yo are. Down her win Brazil you will pay premium price for a bike le that. In US will like 1/3 f the price

Dayren, recently someone bought a lo mileage 99 SE on here for under 5k I think. Here in Texas a mint condition and fully accessorized 98 Anniversary with about 7000 miles sold for around 6k couple weeks ago
Random guess but probably 5000 +/-. Regular high mileage 1100's are around 4-4500 in this region
