Have they finished the work on the dam at the top?
Last time I went through I got booted by the road crew...
As in closed road.

Sheesh I'd like to make it...

There is nothing true in that statement. If you don't want to go just man up and say it

The work on top of the dam is complete. Kinda sucks cause you can't see the reservoir while driving by, but I guess not having Prineville not wiped out by a flood is worth not seeing it for a couple of hundred yards. I guess...

The DRZ is home and the farkle process is starting. I need to rejet it for the elevation (already been 3x3ed and rejetted with a dynojet kit, but for near sea level), get some dirt tires (was used as a commuter with road tires on dirt rims), case guards, radiator guard, and all of my ATTGAT gear from head to toes. Might be a stretch, but I'm a gonna try.

Got a text from Jay. He's on he's in Reno picking up the Dakar and headed for home soon.

I won't be able to make it Sunday, but I'm going out that way this week. Anyone want a mini ride report for the area?

Heck ya, also water color of the Crooked River if you're near there (I.e. is it Latte or Chocolate milk)!

Let's be clear here, I'll be there Saturday afternoon with a bottle of whiskey. I just can't get there early enough to do a full day ride on Saturday.

That is mine, figured since I'd trucked over I could bring some comforts from home like the biggassed tent, with a cot so I didn't have to sleep on the ground, the warming pop up, 2 propane tanks, cook stove and fire wood. Oh yeah and under all that was my DR 650.

I'll remember this when you bastages are scratching at the camper door looking for the 70 degree goodness inside. The thermostat, yeah, set it and forget it.
