Well i got everything working and took it for a ride down the street today that taller fifth gear is sweet cant wait to take it on a good ride. Thanks to Kevin for the powder coating of all my parts he made everything easy.http://www.ayersgarage.com/

Nice write up bro, fine work, much envy (especially your garage!).
I'm studying up on the r100gs as I'm just flat-out intrigued by the machine and would like another modest project bike to tinker with. My motorcycle wrenching experience has been with a '97 Funduro and I've had a ball learning how to wrench/upgrade and trim her out to ride pretty much anyplace. Great little machine. But I want an old airhead now! Many questions regarding the ability to do all my own wrenching and fitting one to my size (5-10, 175#), I'm off to search the threads :) |

I replaced the old front brake line with a steel braided one since i took the photo's now im looking for the decal that goes on the front shield but no luck yet.
